Zeena Johar, PhD
President
Dr. Zeena Johar obtained her PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH – Zurich, in Molecular Modeling and Design, following her Masters in Chemistry with a specialization in Quantum Chemistry from Panjab University. To pursue her passion of translating basic science research towards populations-based applied research, Dr. Johar joined the IKP Trust in 2007. Dr. Johar is one of the founding members of ICTPH, a research institute working towards innovating sustainable, replicable and scalable healthcare delivery models for rural India. As President, Dr. Johar has played an instrumental role in conceptualizing the strategic alignment of ICTPH with the overall mission of IKP Trust. Dr. Johar is currently spearheading the Tanjore Health Systems Pilot, a network of nurse-managed Rural Micro Health Centres (RMHCs) facilitating diagnostic and curative services with a focus on community-based preventive care in conjunction with hamlet-based Community Health Workers (CHWs). Through primary-care provisioning, coupled with relevant financing that supports critical referral networks as well as pricing end-to-end healthcare delivery, ICTPH aims to present optimal health outcomes with minimal health expenditure for rural beneficiaries.

Aarti Sahasranaman
Vice President – Interventions
Aarti Sahasranaman received her Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Carnegie Mellon University, after completing the Integrated Masters Programme in Biological Sciences from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani. She joined ICTPH to direct the research and development of appropriate interventions to meet the health needs of rural populations served by the organization.

Karthik Tiruvarur
Assistant Vice President
Karthik Tiruvarur obtained his Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Motivated by his interest in financial services, Karthik joined Lehman Brothers after obtaining his Bachelor's degree. Subsequently, he worked with International Finance Corporation, the private lending and investing arm of the World Bank Group. Working closely on portfolio management and private equity at IFC, specifically in the life sciences and the healthcare sector, gave him an opportunity to explore his interest in managing investments, exploring and evaluating entrepreneurial ventures and building socially responsible businesses. He joins ICTPH to tie up his leadership and investing passion to bring affordable healthcare to rural populations of India.

Ankit Jain
Assistant Vice President - Operations
Ankit obtained his integrated bachelors and masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Motivated by his interest in entrepreneurship he dropped out of placements and joined early stage technology start ups after graduating. In his previous organization, Capillary Technologies - an award winning start up that provides customer engagement and analytics solutions to retailers, he looked after the business in North India. He managed operations and business development for the firm and on boarded several retail client. Ankit wanted to work in a set up that that is pioneering innovation at Bottom of the Pyramid market; which is what brings him to ICTPH. On a lighter note he is an outdoor person and loves travelling, trekking and mountain cycling.

Arun Jithendra
Research Analyst
Arun Jithendra has a Master's degree in Health Administration from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a Bachelor's degree in Homoeopathy. He has interned with the Government of Tamil Nadu's World Bank-funded Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP). Keen in community health initiatives and public health research, he joins ICTPH as Research Analyst.

Mayank Kedia
Research Associate - Technology Solutions
Mayank Kedia graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur with an Integrated M.Sc. in Physics. He is deeply fascinated by the dynamics of India's new found growth. While at college he was involved with a startup dabbling in rural solar electrification. As part of an earlier venture he has worked with the Bihar Government to help them develop their Bridge maintenance policy. He also appreciates good literature and music. Mayank joins us as a Research Associate in Technology Solutions.

A.R. Selva Swetha
Research Analyst
Swetha graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. She has interned with the Small Enterprise Finance Centre at IFMR, and has also worked as a research assistant to Professor Antoinette Schoar of MIT Sloan School of Management. Keenly interested in development issues, while at university she served on the global executive committee of The U8 Global Student Partnership for Development and on the core team of the Warwick International Development Summit. Swetha joins ICTPH as a research analyst to the Communication and Human Capacity teams.

Vani Priya
Research Analyst
Vani Priya has obtained her Master's in Social Work from Madras School of Social Work. She has interned with the Centre for Development Finance (CDF) at IFMR. At IFMR, she worked on the India Local Economic Environment Programme (ILEEP), a pilot project to develop processes of stakeholder participation in local economic planning. Her field work and project experiences include working on zero waste management, child welfare, patient care at hospice, child sexual abuse, welfare of gypsy community and a project to understand mental stress of students facing board exam. She has done a quantitative research on Participation of Youth in Indian Politics.

Erin Jeremiah is Executive Assistant at ICTPH. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (B.B.A) from the Madras University, Chennai. She has eight years of work experience and is currently assisting the team with all administration related chores.

Deepak Rajanna
Advisor
Deepak Rajanna obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore. He has a decade of experience developing large scale software systems for Siemens, Motorola, EFI and Yahoo!. He joined ICTPH to drive the application of innovative technologies to realize ICTPH's overall mission of delivering health care to rural populations.

Dr. Ravikumar Chockalingam
Advisor
Dr. Chockalingam graduated from Madras Medical College, one of the oldest in India, in 2003. He has five years of post graduate clinical experience including training in Surgical Laparoscopy and Intervention Gastroenterology in Buffalo, NY. He worked as a Registrar in the Critical Care unit in Apollo hospitals for a year and a half after which he joined ICTPH as Assistant Vice President - Human Capacity. Dr. Chockalingam is the founding member of the CHW (Community Health Worker) focus at ICTPH, looking at alternate disease focus areas e.g. mental health, oral health and sexual health. Dr. Ravikumar also played an instrumental role in operationalising the CHW pilot in Tanjore district of Tamil Nadu - from coordinating field teams for mobilizing the CHW’s to designing and implementing the in-house three phase training programs. Dr. Chockalingam is currently pursuing his Master’s in Public Health (MPH), at The Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University, USA.
