
Diego Rios Zertuche
Diego Rios Zertuche is a candidate for a Master in Public Administration at the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA). He has worked for two years in a rural health program in Mexico and holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City. Diego has research interests in rural development, poverty alleviation and policy issues which sparked his interest in working at ICTPH as a summer intern.

Jessica Wolff
Jessica Wolff is a graduate of the MPH program at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Jessica has also interned for the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), researching the genetics of bipolar disorder. She has a wide range of volunteering experiences from working for the Appalachian Service Project in Kentucky to leading educational programs in Guatemala. Jessica's focus on studying global public health interventions at Johns Hopkins led her to pursue an internship at ICTPH to gain critical field experience at the international level.

Kelly Clonts
Kelly Clonts is an undergraduate at MIT currently studying Architecture and Urban Planning. Kelly has done research in Singapore, Jamaica, Israel, Sierra Leone, and India and worked in a variety of fields including building technology, sustainable energy, archaeology, education, architectural design, and social networking. Kelly's diverse interests in community planning and international development, as well as sociology and public health led her to the summer internship program at ICTPH.

Kristen van der Veen
Kristen van der Veen attended Bowdoin College where she earned a B.A. in Neuroscience and minored in Chemistry. Kristen has worked at the Children's Hospital, Boston as a clinical research coordinator in the Adolescent Clinic as well as at the Neurogenetics Laboratory and Lysosomal Disease Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital. Kristen is currently enrolled in an accelerated BSN/MSN program at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Nursing, working towards a Masters Degree in Family Health.

Neal Gupta
Neal Gupta is an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania who is working towards his bachelor's in Political Science. Neal has been conducting research in understanding global health as well as Indian health policy and his field work focuses on his University Scholars Research Project at Penn which seeks to provide learnings on health management for ICTPH's local communities.

Peter Groce
Peter Groce is a candidate for a Master of Public Health at the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Peter received his Nursing degree at West Virginia University and has broad international experience working for Doctors Without Borders in the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Pakistan. Peter has also volunteered as a Hurricane Katrina Relief Worker in New Orleans and for the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan.

Prateek Kumar Jain
Prateek Kumar Jain is a dual-degree student at IIT-Kharagpur where he has completed his B.Tech in Food and Agricultural Engineering and is currently working on completing his Masters in Business Administration. Prior to interning at ICTPH, Prateek was an intern in the food industry working for Great Value Foods where he gained critical operational and field experience. Additionally, he brings a varied background in his profile as a general secretary at his college, in participation in dramatics and in management of Spring Fest at IIT-KGP.

Ryan Cook
Ryan Cook is a dual degree candidate for a Master of Public Health and Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Ryan also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Minor in Korean Studies from Brigham Young University. He spent two years in Korea volunteering, teaching English and working with children. In addition to Ryan's coursework at Washington University, he has also interned with several different organizations including Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine's Epidemiology and Research Prevention Group (EPRG) and St. Louis Effort for AIDS. Ryan's research interests focus on primary prevention in public healthcare, health communication theory and evaluation of programs that focus on behavioral change in the developing world.

Urmi Cholera
Urmi Cholera is a MPH graduate of Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Before interning at ICTPH, Urmi was a research intern at the Mental Health Association of NYC, Inc. She has also worked in Peru and Costa Rica in the area of community development and volunteered with Sakhi, a NY-based organization that works with domestic violence issues in South Asian communities. Furthermore, Urmi brings a varied background to her work at ICTPH as she studied business and accounting at McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and worked for KPMG, LLC., prior to embarking on a research career in public health and policy.

Wei Chang
Wei Chang is currently a student in the MSW and MPH dual-degree program at the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Wei has work experience in China with diverse groups such as teens with disabilities, low-income agricultural workers and college students who have attempted suicide. In the U.S., she has worked in the area of women's reproductive health and with Chinese immigrants. Wei's research interests focus on the development of public health infrastructure in developing countries as well as health education, with a particular focus on women's health.

Xue Wang
Xue Wang is currently a Master of Health Science student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she is studying international health with a strong focus towards global disease epidemiology, and control and vaccine science and policy. Xue holds a Bachelor of Medicine in Medical Sciences from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. She is a research assistant with experience in both lab and applied research settings. Xue has community volunteer experience serving in a variety of levels ranging from leadership to support.
