ICTPH’s Board of Directors comprises of a team of eminent members, who provide guidance and support to ICTPH in all its endeavours.
Prof. R.A Mashelkar - Chairman
Dr. Mashelkar received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and PhD from the University of Bombay. Dr. Mashelkar, CSIR Bhatnagar Fellow, is presently the President of Global Research Alliance, a network of publicly funded R&D institutes from Asia-Pacific, Europe and USA with over 60,000 scientists. He has previously served as the Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India and as President of Indian National Science Academy and President of Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK). Dr. Mashelkar is a recipient of countless honors and recognitions in the fields of science, technology, business and international development. He is globally recognized as a scientific pioneer and a leading architect of much of India’s science and technology policies. Dr. Mashelkar serves on the board of over a dozen reputed companies including ICTPH.

Mr. N. Vaghul was the Chairman of ICICI Bank, which is the second largest bank in the country, until April 2009. He has nearly 50 years of experience in the banking industry and has held assignments in several other banks before assuming the office of the Chairman of ICICI Bank in 1985. He also serves on the boards of several leading corporations in India and the UK such as Arcelor Mittal, Wipro, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Piramal Healthcare Limited and Apollo Hospitals & Enterprise Limited. Mr. Vaghul is actively involved in promoting several public causes notably the universalisation of elementary education in the country. He is the Director of Pratham India Education Initiative which is primarily engaged in serving the under privileged children living in slum areas and who do not have either access to education or quality education.

Dr. Nachiket Mor is a Yale World Fellow (2004); has a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania with a specialization in Finance from the Wharton School; a Masters degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and an undergraduate degree in Physics from the Mumbai University. While completing his PhD, he was associated with a Philadelphia based hedge fund (Quantitative Financial Strategies) for three years. He has worked with ICICI since 1987 in a variety of jobs, including Corporate Planning, Project Finance, Treasury and Rural Banking and was a member of its Board from 2001-2007. He is currently President of the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth. In addition to his work within ICICI, he is a member of the Boards of: Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), CARE USA and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

Sucharita Mukherjee, graduated from Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) and Lady Shri Ram College (Delhi University). She led the origination and structuring effort in credit derivatives and structured finance for corporate at Morgan Stanley in London. Her work includes developing innovative asset - backed financing structures in such areas as intellectual property and healthcare receivables.
She was also part of the credit derivatives team at Deutshe Bank in London, structuring credit - derivatives - linked repackaged investments for financial institutions.
Currently she is working as the Senior Vice President IFMR Trust and CEO of IFMR Capital.

Dr. Zeena Johar obtained her PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute
of Technology, ETH – Zurich, in NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), Molecular Modeling and Design, following her Masters in Chemistry with a specialization in Quantum Chemistry from Panjab University. To pursue her passion of translating basic science research towards populations-based applied research, she joined the IKP Trust in 2007. Dr. Johar is one of the founding members of ICTPH, a research institute working towards innovating sustainable, replicable and scalable healthcare delivery models for rural India. Dr. Johar has played an instrumental role in conceptualizing the strategic alignment of ICTPH with the overall mission of IKP Trust. She is currently spearheading the ICTPH Tanjore Health Systems Pilot.
